Several organisations have become aware and are incorporating the Health and Safety, Environmental and Quality Management systems in their company policies. The Auditors’ role is no more limited to only basic audit functions, but they are now expected to get involved in the organisation’s integrated systems audits too. This course is designed for existing quality and environmental auditors to provide in-depth knowledge for further enhancement of their auditing skills.

This IRCA course is for delegates looking to fortify their existing knowledge and skills related to the assessment of the conformance of OH&S Management Systems within their organisation, both at internal level and third party assessment. The pre-requisite for attending this course is that delegates must have either attended a 5-day IRCA Lead Auditor course or acceptable alternative, having basic knowledge of OHSAS 18001 management system.

Duration: 3 days

Who should attend?

Practising QMS, EMS auditors and Lead auditors who wish to gain knowledge and competence in auditing the Occupational Health and Safety Management System of an organisation. Pre-requisite for attending this course is that delegates must have undergone a 5-day training course in IRCA 9001 or 1401 Lead assessor or other acceptable alternative course or may have basic knowledge of OHSAS 18001 management system.

Course Objectives

To ensure delegates gain a clear understanding of the principles of health and safety management, and comprehend the health and safety legislative requirements to enable enhancement of their pre-existing knowledge on health and safety OHSAS 18001:2007 standard.

What are the Benefits?

Auditors will gain further knowledge and enhancement of their existing auditing skills and will develop competency to audit the health and safety management systems of an organisation. Upon successful completion and achievement of 70% pass marks, delegates will satisfy the IRCA policy to register as OH&S Auditor or Lead Auditor.
